It was more the lung cancer thing than the explosion thing, or maybe the whole cigarette thing I was referring to. The cigarette by itself would have been non-noticeable. The cigarette is not hot enough to ignite the gas fumes, the danger would be if she was lighting it while pumping the gas then ignition would be possible.
