ER-NCRC Orientatio​n to Cave Rescue (OCR) 28-30 March 2014

An Orientation to Cave Rescue (OCR) Training Class will be offered on 28-30 March 2014 at the Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in Harrisonburg, VA.

OCR is an introductory level program which consists of classroom and field work in all phases of cave rescue including: underground environment, extrication techniques, communication systems, medical management, and organization and management of cave rescue. The basic orientation course material is presented for students who typically include cavers, emergency services personnel, and rescue management personnel.

The fee for the course is $55.00. There will be free camping at Grand Caverns in Grottoes, VA (about 30 minutes from EMU) for students and staff.

Any idea when the registration site will be updated? We have 3 members of our group itching to register.

Had a great time and learned much more than I expected. All of the instructors were top notch and friendly to boot!!! Thanks to everyone who was involved with this!
