Amy,

You have to take Level 1 to get oriented and get started. Gotta start somewhere, and we all need the common language and basic rescue training in Level 1. I promise you will love it - it's a really fun and useful class.

Apply for the scholarship and plan to come. You won't regret it.

It is essentially all field work every day, with no check-offs in the evenings and no (that's right no) PowerPoint whatsoever! That alone makes it the best course ever offered by the NCRC! :-)

For more information on the TOFE class, contact Tim White, Rebecca Segrest, Scott Stepenuck, or yours truly.

I took TOFE in 2010 and it is a GREAT class.
I'm glad NCRC decided to make it a regularly offered course.

Yar that makes sense. And I have no doubt it will be a fun and informative class =)

I suppose I'll be there :big grin:

I'm already signed up for the instructor pool and with luck Steve'll give me Level II again.

Mentone is a great site and it really helps that we've now been there enough to be thoroughly familiar with the caves and cliffs available.

I'll be there, man.

I am signed up for the instructor pool and will teach with whichever level needs me.

Can't wait for Mentone III :banana_yay:

Any idea who is the chief instructor for level 1 and for level 2? I signed up for the instructor pool. I'll also bring lots of motrin and bandaids.

DJ for L1, me for L2. Formal assignments haven't been made yet but that's what has been discussed.

I will bring my "backup gear cache" as well. Within reason. Still have that Jeep Compass, I can only cram so much fun into it.

Thanks for the reminder! I got distracted and haven't signed up online yet, but I plan to be there. It seems the sign-up process starts earlier and earlier each year.

What? You haven't signed up for the 2014 seminar yet? You're missing the boat. :-)
