Thanks Jansen! Can't wait to get home and off of a government computer so I can access YouTube and see those.

P.S. I think I know that guy in the last video. He can be a real jerk!

For all you numbers geeks, I just added a bunch of technical info to the knot failures video.

This clip shows pull testing with various knots and hitches on 11mm PMI static rope. It is a demonstration for cave rescue students. The 8mm 3-wrap Prusik slipped at 2320 lbf (10.3 kN) and the peak load immediately reduced to about 1500 lbf (6.7 kN). The Petzl Rescuecender slipped at 2775 lbf (12.3 kN) causing minor sheath damage. The Klemheist hitch tied in 1 inch (25mm) tubular webbing broke at over 2600 lbf (11.6 kN). The figure 8 bight broke at 4132 lbf (18.4 kN). The Blake's hitch broke at 4200 lbf (18.7 kN). The lanyard made from 9mm static rope with a sewn eye broke at only 1563 lbf (7.0 kN)! In the figure 8 versus bowline pull test, the figure 8 broke at over 3600 lbf (16.0 kN). All results are non-scientific.

I also uploaded more videos of other cave rescue training events from the past few years.
