UWS Magazine

Postby MDS » Apr 30, 2011 5:38 pm

Folks: I haven't recieved a copy of UWS Magazine here in the UK since end 2010 but my CDS membership is up to date. Has CDS stopped producing hard copies in favour of the online magazines on their webpage or have I missed something?.....can anyone update?

cheers, Matt

You could try sending an email to these two addresses:

cdsmanager
and
uwseditor

both of them will be at the domain:
nsscds d0t org

FWIW, there's talk afoot of it going fully digital, but some of the membership screamed bloody murder, so for the time being it won't.

While UWS hasn't gone totally digital, the two most recent issues are available on www.nsscds.org as PDFs.
Any opinions are personal.

Folks: A further contact has been made to CDS as despite renewing my membership in time with NSS & CDS this year 2012 (via NSS website) my copies of UWS have once again ceased. My last copy of UWS recieved was winter 2011 Vol 38 No 4.

I have also not recieved any copies of Journal of Karst & Cave studies since April 2011

There has been no lapse in both my memberships.

All is unexplainable - Is this a regular problem with overseas members or with yearly renewals?

Are you receiving copies of the NSS News?

I see (via "member search" on the NSS Web site) you're listed as a current NSS and CDS member, so that means you're in the system.

Yes, he is in the database, but the country abbreviation leaves something to be desired. Matt lives in the UK, and the database shows it as "UNIT". I am pretty sure the US Post Office would have a hard time finding "UNIT" ::)

I will point it out to Phil, and Stephanie.
