Disco ball in The White Room at Ginnie Springs FL

Postby Lost » Jun 22, 2010 2:33 pm

We went to the White room and found the remains of what seems to be a disco ball. I was going to pick up all the 3/8” square mirror pieces but I had nothing to put them in so we left them, but only for a day. We spent the last dive of our trip on clean up duty. I am sure we did not get them all so if you go back there please take a water filled bottle to put them in and get what we left. They were in 2 spots that we found, one near the stake and the other about 25’ before you get to the stake in the middle of the tunnel.
It is so beautiful back there why would anyone want to put something like that back there or anywhere in the system. I guess it was funny till it imploded or the water ate the glue away then it was just a bunch of crap left on the floor. I think who ever put it there needs to rethink why they cave dive. Maybe they did not realize it would make a mess. If you’re sorry you made a mess and feel bad about it you can pay for my entrance fees and gas fills for the day I will take paypal or a check, if you don’t feel bad and still think it’s cool I hope you get out of cave diving soon so I don’t have to waste my limited time in cave country picking up after you. Just a reminder: Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but bubbles and kill nothing but time.

There's a slight chance I'll be down to dive Devil's soon. I'll ask my buddy if he wants to blow off our remaining gas on a clean up.

Weird.

This is what happens when scuba divers become cave divers.
