Wallace H. C. Colly Jr. (NSS # 5976)
Posted: Jul 23, 2009 1:19 pmI regret to announce that Wallace Colly passed away May 31, 2009 at the age of 86. His son only just now passed this information onto us. Wallce was a founding member of the Dogwood City Grotto and quite an archivist. He apparently kept every issue of the NSS News, Georgia Underground and other publications.
From what I understand, at that time you needed eight people to form a grotto, and they had seven. Apparently his six-year old son saved the day by being the eighth member.
He was dedicated to the DCG until he could no longer attend the meetings. We honor Wallace and miss him very much.
