Paul's son recently contacted me for photos and info about his father. This prompted research into historical documents and photos and one of them is this.

Thanks for posting the F.R.O.G. link. Paul, myself, and a handful of others were the founders of the short-lived Mid-Illinois Grotto. I came across some slides of Paul in Crumps Spring Cave a few months ago, and wondered what had become of him. We went on a good number of trips together during my undergrad days at the Univ. of IL. (1967-70). I also remember that Paul gave some great parties that were well attended by cavers, members of the Simian Outing Club, and of course fellow geologists. Thanks for the memories !
