Cliff Forman

Postby ggaliens » Jul 30, 2020 2:02 pm

A good friend of mine Cliff Forman has passed way in late June of 2020. I didn't see his name mentioned here and since I think he was fairly well known in the caving world, this might be of interest to many. Apparently he was 85 years old.

I'm gonna miss Cliff from Cooperstown. He was a great host and story teller and he would entertain my family a few times a year at his wonderful cottage north of Cooperstown on Otsego Lake. His tales of caving in decades long long gone were very entertaining.

When I first met Cliff in 1997, he quickly provided interesting information that led me to dig open (with Tony and Tom) Peggy's Hole, a very cool offset dome complex in Schoharie NY.

If you knew Cliff and are so inclined, please tip a few back while remembering him. Crazy Coot does not begin to describe Cliff. He was awesome.
