He has a paper coming out later this month or next, on WNS epidemiology as it relates to potential spread of the pathogen in western bat populations, if anybody's interested you can read the pre-publication which he posted here: http://gknudsenlaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/WNS.pdf (hopefully the journal won't mind).

I thought the name of the fungus was officially changed to Pseudogymnoascus destructans

The fungus has been re-named, but it will take a little while for the name change to percolate through scientific papers. The science protocol is not to officially adopt the new name until the paper justifying it has been published. In the meantime, other scientific papers, such as this one, have been prepared and are "in press,'" or awaiting publication, and continue to use the "old" name. So, there is a transitional period during which we will continue to see both names in use.
