They put is every, and I mean EVERY piece of misinformation about bats they could find.

I tried to post as my Facebook persona to correct this, and they disallowed the post.

You just can't fight stupid.

Ann Froschauer appears on this as a resource, so she could possibly answer why the read is as it is. It states that WNS is easily spread? Where does this stuff come from? Could Ann F. answer some of these issues? The media only writes what they are told?

It's darn near to the point for Senators to start asking questions. And they might if enough cavers would write their legislators and explain the facts
to them.

Well, it's not the most grammatical thing I've ever written, (sigh--hard to do when you are typing faster than you are punctuating, and everything is a "first draft") but at least they let me leave it up there. I ignored the blatant remarks and took on the pocketbook argument.

I'm working on something more balanced than typical media fodder. Will cross post here when I get it done.

I'm not sure, but it appears that the squabble about the money would not be as much a concern as just doing the right thing. In this case, WNS and cavers spreading it not being as relevant as the writer has established. The right thing should be, Cavers have not had one single thing to do with spreading WNS! In a nutshell, that is the true story.

I apologize for this taking so long. It's a 'pretty print' version of my May 2012 article on WNS arriving in Missouri with a strong procaver slant.. I had contractual reasons I couldn't post it immediately, but here it is now. Please share at will. The pdf may be read immediately, downloaded for later consumption, or embedded into other webpages. But please read. Thanks.
