WNS in IKC Caves

Postby Cody JW » Feb 24, 2012 10:20 am

Just got word that WNS has been found in several Indiana Karst Conservancy Caves. Keith Dunlap has reported that he and Scott Johnson ( non game biologist from IDNR) along with an official from USFS had identified infected bats in Robinson Ladder Cave, Buddha Cave, Sullivan Cave and Waynes Cave. Waynes Cave was from a photo where the resolution was not great but other area caves are infected. So far no Indiana Bats have been found infected in these caves. Maybe for some reason they may be more resistant ?? Robinson Ladder is currently closed for WNS . Anyone visiting the other three should decon after visiting.
It only takes one person to surrender a dog to a kill shelter ,but it takes many to rescue it.
