“White Nose Syndrome: Current Status in Tennessee” will be the subject of the late afternoon sessions at the Tenn. Cave and Karst Working Group Public Meeting - February 25, 2012 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.
Of relevance to WNS will be “White Nose Syndrome: Current Status in Tennessee” presented by Cory Holliday (The Nature Conservancy); and “Introduction, Consequences, and the Spread of the Fungus Geomyces destructans in Tennessee” presented by researchers at the University of Tennessee: Dr. Gary McCracken, Dr. Justin Boyles & Dr. Thomas Hallam.
This will be followed by a Panel Discussion Moderated by Dr. Thomas Hallam (UT), and including representatives of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services, Tennessee State Parks, and the National Speleological Society.
