I just stumbled onto this, but on April 15th, caves in the Monongahela National Forest were closed for an additional two years - until June 30, 2012. Why that was not announced, I know not - but here it is:

Some stiff penalties. I would say that a sit in is out of the question.

Thanks, Doug. We didn't see any announcement anywhere, and my usual USFS sources didn't send out anything. We'll get it up on the WNS website.
