samson rope

Anyone ever use samson static before? I talked with the company which, you may also know, makes petzl vector. They said that the ropes are very similar, poly. sheath and nylon core. Strength is identical but the samson is a bit stiffer on the elongation. I believe the sheath is a 32 count on both as well. He also mentioned that the cores were stabilized differently etc. Just wandering, have seen a bunch on ebay.

Same here, never have used a samson rope. But I have 400 ft of BlueWater static 7/16. Personaly I think the BlueWater has a great feel on long rappells.
I have only 50 ft of petzl vector.
