Hmmm....

A self-referential posting doesn't make me think. It rather confounds thinking.

Why does the link return to the same thread and post?

This post used to be a nice little anecdote on the dangers of not knowing your equipment, jumping into the deep end without floaties on your arms, misunderstimating the dangerosity of verticality, etc. etc. It was in the Chattanooga Grotto forum but got moved, at least in part.

This demonstrates the dangers of teleportation. Apparently as this post was traveling through the electro-ether from the Chat. Grotto forum to the On Rope forum, some of it's bits got flipped. So the post is no more. Bummer.

Whell, mebbe we can get loo-ten-ant LA-Forge to reverse the polarity of the thread and it'll come back... hell, he's ALWAYS reversing the polarity of everything on the ship anyway...

OH JP! The "dangerosity of verticality"???
I love it!
Look what mean 'ol Mr. Gravity did!!!!
It was a good post, because it so aptly described a situation that seems common and you jump into something you think is a simple, no-brainer kind of thing and then you end up getting bit in the butt! (or in this case, landing on it!)

It was a good post, Chris. Nobody goes to a 400' pit (I hope!) thinking they don't need this or that - it is those little ones that get you most of the time, and this was a great reminder of that.
Hell, I don't want to fall 4', much less 40 or 400!
(I may look bouncy, but I'm not!)
