Second that! IMHO - downclimbing, changeovers (both directions!), and flat-out knowing your system are skills everyone needs before ever getting on-rope in a cave. In my still limited experience, i've seen several issues from people not having these skills even when single-climbing.

I tandomed for the first time recently @ Mystery, both of us on frogs. Worked well when we were coordinated; when (I) broke rhythem, just had to pause a moment and restart. The company on the climb was nice and we worked the (easy) edge no problem. I'd do it again (ok, open season-start now...).
