Fantastic Pit Waterfall in Summer

Postby ianreuter10 » Jun 12, 2015 5:36 am

Hi all,
I'm curious as to what the flow rate of the waterfall in fantastic pit is like during the summer months. Are many trips led down the pit in the summertime, or is it generally considered unsafe due to the waterfall?
Thanks

the waterfall is low in the summer... :kewl: ....the outflow at the spring is a good indication of pit conditions......rigging the balcony is usually very or nearly dry... ..the attic is almost always at least drippy or wet.......put on a plastic bag at the bottom and rip it off after you get up high enough to get out of the water.....the attic rig will be wet or drippy for the first 300 feet or so and if the water is high it can be VERY wet.... :yikes: ...a long time ago i did a trip where the dug entrance was a syphon and people were basically washed in.......we rigged the attic and not everyone did the pit that day.. ...
