Three knot system

Postby cavedoc » Jul 4, 2013 3:30 pm

I am looking to make 3 knot systems for my two sons to climb in our trees and maybe underground some day. I confess to learning all my vertical in the mechanical ascender era. On rope suggests 16 feet of cord for the prusiks but doesn't specify different sized loops. Older son is 4' 5", younger son is 4' 2". I have harnesses and some foot loops already. Should I just cut equivalent sized prusik loops or make some longer than others?

I use the system shown on the page linked below. Seems to size them pretty well for individual body heights. Note that it assumes you will be connecting the short prusik to a chest level attachment.
