Hello all
Just wondering if anyone had a little information on carabiner types and there uses for SRT applications such as rigging, ascension systems, descending ect.

Mostly aluminum alloy, unless steel is required for heavy wear (e.g. bobbin braking carabiner) or certain rescue applications. Almost all locking (screw gate most common), with the possible exception of non-locking cowstail carabiner(s). Shapes and sizes vary depending on application and personal preference.
