high-tenacity polyethylene

Is "high-tenacity polyethylene" the same as high-modulus polyethylene (HMPE) / ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) / Spectra / Dyneema, or is it a different fiber altogether?

You might give to us the context in which you find your questioned phrase.

I'll guess that the user intended it to be synonymous, but who knows?

(I've not previously seen "h.t." used w/"polyE.", but have seen it used
with "polyester", though not in a finished product.)

The term is uses synonymously with HMPE in Alpine Caving Techniques, but I am wondering if that is a typographic (or other) error.

don't know about polyethylene, but like kn I've heard of the "ht" used with polyester as in the Sterling(?) brand name HTP. Lovely rope. What version of ACT?
