FireFly 3 vs FireFly 2 flash slaves

Has anybody here had the chance to play with the newer Firefly 3 slaves that are supposedly more geared towards digital cameras...I already have a couple Firefly 2 slaves and they can sometimes be a bit finicky about tripping when you want them to. I only ask because the newer fireflies are $100 each and they would have to be much more reliable to justify that kind of cost as far as I'm concerned.
