Some lovely photos you have there. Why I like your album? Because it's fast loading and without any disturbing in page. Have seen galleries that you could get old loading it

Ralph, great set of albums, keep them coming. Really enjoy the colors on some of them. Glad you explained about the carbide burn, hate to think that a caver had done it.

Thanks, I am trying to keep updating my albums when I have the time. Hardest part is re-organizing the photos so that you can get a feel of a tour going through the cave rather than just random pictures. When you have a collection of photos that span over the years of visiting the same cave (I lead a LOT of beginner trips) it takes time to go through and try and pick out the best of the best. Also what's time consuming is adding captions to pics (and choosing which need captions) to make the picture more ... comprehensible.

I've added the link to my signature so check back say once a week for updates. I've still several dozen caves and several hundred photos to go through. So it'll be updated frequently.

I've added a new update. A trip last January to the caves in/around Great Basin National Park. Lehman's Caves National Monument is featured here and has decent photos of what can be seen in this gorgeous cave. I normally use a disposable camera for my pics and thus the quality isn't up to digital or even a full blown SLR but they work and a lot of them turn out quite nice.
If you've never seen Lehmans' I'd recommend it most highly. Take the long 90 minute tour over the 60 minute tour as you'll see more of the cave that way.
The guides are friendly and well trained Park specialists and knowledgeable about the caves' history and formations.

thanks but remember not all the photos are of my own... I don't want to take credit where it isn't due.
but yeah I'm proud to be able to be a part of those and to be able to put the photos up to share with others that can appreciate what they're seeing.

There's a stink about posting (our) caves on the web for in fear of encouraging vandalism to seek out these caves and doing their dirty work. I don't want these caves vandalized anymore than anyone else but I do believe in sharing the beauty with those who are NOT the vandalistic type.
Problem is you don't know who all is looking at your photos and you don't know if they're admiring them or trying to figure out their location to harvest or paint their names on them.

It's a sticky that I haven't quite figure out how to handle. (hint for suggestions, ideas, comments).
But for now I still want to share in the joys and beauties that I get from caving.

I figure that as long as you have been vague about the caves location (if you need to say anything at all) and you don't publish photos of the entrance or anything else which could be used to pinpoint your location then they are none the wiser about where to find the caves. This means they aren't any different to anyone else who goes looking for caves.
