Since I'm new here, I probably should show some pictures before I make any comments on others

Would appreciate any comment and also critique.

Nice pics, Simon. Is there a way to make them bigger, so we can see more detail?

Scott,

Just clicking on them makes them large. Otherwise, you might try right clicking and do a save as locally to expand, but their existing resolution for the web might be the best you can do for now.

Gallery is just for "introduction." Pics are small because of limited space on server, where gallery is. I promise next pictures here will be more viewable

When I click the thumbnails, I get an image that is about 400x266. I can tell they are great pictures and I'd love to see a bunch of them at about 1600x1200. But I understand about the file size and bandwidth limitations. I look forward to seeing more.

Umm, great photos but a suggestion that having a brief description of what we're looking at would be nice. I saw that Sabertooth(?) skull but wasn't sure if that was correct.

@Ralph E. Powers - Nope, that isn't sabertooht skull, just something that used to be a domestic cat.

@bigalpha - Please don't reinstal windows  , page you were looking is slovenian and it's not yet made for english viewers. Then again, pictures are multilingual :-)

Here are some new pictures that I took this weekend. They are from a "Trojka" cave.

Simon, more great pics, you keep posting them. Only problem is that I get jealous because I don't take pictures like those. :woohoo:

Maybe that's because you don't go to caves like those?

Ahhh Slovenia... the "birth" place of "karst"... My grandfather came from there in 1900, my grandmother in 1904, (they met here) I have always been very aware of my "mountain" heritage, and when I became a caver my "karst" heritage, as such for some decades now I have been enamored of the idea of returning to my ancestral homeland to gaze upon my great grandfathers grave... and the caves nearby.

I doubt it will ever happen (life is short, and I have 2 sons I have to get thru college yet) but still, it is a dream... one of many.

Simon,

Great pics. I really enjoy your lighting style. Very moody and emotive.

Jolly,

This was taken with the camera on a tripod, no external light source except the hand-held flash. The cave is Holloch.
