How I Make My Caving Videos

Postby Caver Keith » Dec 23, 2023 12:41 pm

In 2019 I uploaded to my YouTube channel, My Caving Videos: How I Make 'Em - Part 1 Equipment. This was intended to be the first of a three-part series.

After a gap of 4 years, I have finally completed the series, which now runs to 4 parts!

I've had enormous fun over many years making my films. Now that I am getting a little long in the tooth, I thought it was time to pass on what I've learned. It would be really great to see some new kids on the block who want to make authentic caving films, not the sensational unscripted, unedited stuff that is currently proliferating on YouTube, shot with nothing more than a head-mounted action camera.

As it says in part two:

* I have no background or qualifications in film-making.
* However, in spite of this, I do have a fair amount of experience in the field and some of my videos have been quite successful.
* So I suppose that I must be doing something right.
* And what I’ve learned on the journey may be of interest to you.

Here's the films.
