Old School Cave Photography

Postby cave rat » Jun 25, 2014 11:20 pm

This might sound like something out of the stoneage, but I am now shooting cave photos with a old Minolta XG-1 35mm SLR camera. A buddy of mine gave me his old set-up. I took it caving a few weeks back and it did great. It came with a flash but would like to find a or either a Vivatar 283 or 285 with a PC cord. Looking to buy if anyone's got one for sale, I am interested.

Your best bet is to look on E-bay. Those old manual flashes go pretty cheap on there and make great cave flashes, even if your using a digital camera. If you don't want the hassle of cables, look at the Yongnuo 602 wireless transmitter/receivers.
