Faculty Position in Bat Biology and Conservation at Indiana

The Department of Biology at Indiana State University invites applications for a tenure track position focused on the conservation and biology of bats. This position is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biology or related area, and demonstrated research expertise in bat biology and conservation. Postdoctoral experience or equivalent is desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to assume after one to two years the position of Director of ISU's Center for North American Bat Research and Conservation (http://www.indstate.edu/biology/centers/bat.htm). The Director will maintain the Center’s current research and monitoring projects, maintain and expand its extramural funding base, and develop new research and outreach initiatives. The successful candidate will also direct graduate students in the Department's doctoral program, as well as participate in graduate and undergraduate instruction. Many opportunities exist for collaborative research within the Department.
