I received this email today from PassMoreLabs:

A film production crew from PassmoreLab is currently in Central Texas shooting footage for an upcoming 3D documentary film entitled - BATS! It is an educational film that will explore the myths and dark legends that have stalked the world's only flying mammal for hundreds of years. Through the (sometimes frightening) wonders of digital 3D technology, audiences will learn that bats are unique and interesting animals; but, because of fear and misconceptions associated with them throughout history, they also are some of the most misunderstood animals in the world. While the film will be shot in various locations around the world and will examine several species of bats (including vampire bats), Central Texas was chosen because the territory contains some of the largest bat caves in the world (including maternity caves that are winter homes for millions of Mexican free-tailed bats). The 14-day filming expedition mandated not only a full 3D production trailer but also generators, specialty caving equipment and bio-hazard gear. On this trip, the crew will also shoot in and around Austin, Texas. The film is scheduled for release in February 2010.
