While at fixing stuff today a co-worker told me a story about how he used to go fishing for bats. He said you just pick a good light poll and then cast your fishing rod up into the air, alot like a fly fisherman would. he said it wasn't difficult at all to end up with a bat on the end or your line. If the bat swallows the hook I guess you could fly him around like a kite until he gets tired and falls to the ground. This sounds like an urban legend to me. Anybody ever heard of this before?
It seems like the bat would be much more likely to bump into the line as it would to swallow the hook.
I regret I didn't ask him what they used for bait.
