Delaware's Bat Program

While googling about WNS I found this link and am very impressed with the program developed by Delaware's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Fish and Wildlife section. Clearly a lot of the credit belongs to Erin Adams, a staff biologist. The WNS info is top knotch, too.

They also have a program to enlist bat spotters to do counts, etc. Bear in mind that Delaware has only one little cave. Most bats here are found in attics, barns, trees, under bridges, etc.

Britian, with few cave bats, has a very strong protection and volunteer spotter program.
I'm not scared of the dark, it's the things IN the dark that make me nervous. :)
