Found a bat in my basement

The other day I found a dead bat in the shower in my basement. He was a Big Brown as far as I could tell; I looked him up in my bat identification book but I didn't have gloves to really check him well. I just have no idea how he could have gotten in there. The door to the bathroom was closed and the door to the basement almost always stays closed, and there are no windows or other openings to the basement that I could find. I'm wondering if this is just a random occurrence or if there could be more living down there.

I know someone whom has some bats living in their outside chimney. However, they have managed to get in to the house on occasion. Apparently bats can squeeze in to the tiniest of spaces.

It is simple one of the zillions places you may find bats. You may find colony of bats behind curtain in living room, very often under roofs of houses and churches (near very noisy bell), in many, many strange places. And they are able to grovel through mousehole or very narrow fissure.

Following the last CBD WNS petition you should find another house. No joke.
