It's interesting that a species of bat on the other side of the globe is going extinct from unknown causes while several N.A. species are dying from a poorly understood syndrome.

Thanks for these articles. I couldn't help but noticing that the proposal for a captive breeding colony was nixed as an untried and risky initiative.
