For future generations of cavers: Note that the bats are surviving without intervention by humans...without massive and costly re-location schemes, without humans running cave-to-cave with vaccines, without any help at all from the bureaucracy or well-intentioned but misguided animal lovers. Meantime, those bats with resistance are doing well with less competition for food, easier access to preferable mates, broader availability of hibernating sites and roosts, and in general doing just fine. All without humans who felt a need to "do something."
