I've been lurking on CaveChat for a long time, but since I'm about to start a new discussion thread, I thought I'd better introduce myself. I started caving in the 1960s with the Oregon Grotto, and joined the San Francisco Bay Chapter (SFBC) and NSS after graduating from college in 1967. Since then I've caved primarily in California, with occasional excursions to other areas of the US, as well as Europe, China and Borneo. My husband is a caver, and we've made caving the main focus of our lives, apart from family and work. Now in my 60's the body is showing the signs of years of abuse, and my active caving has slowed down considerably. However my love of caving and all things "speleo" continues unabated, and as long as I'm able, I'll continue to give back to the caving community by serving in less active roles that are, nonetheless, important to the future of the NSS. That's enough about me. Now on to the things that matter.
