hello cavers,
Im totally new here to the nss even though i have been doing it a few years. to find out about the nss that there are so many others out there that enjoy caving is so awesome!!! especially that you guys put so much attention to the conservation of these caves. Im hoping to learn from all your experiance and to grow in my knowledge.

Where do you live? Have you found a local Grotto yet?

i live in georgia, and no i have not done so yet. im looking into it but don't know much about them

well im trying...... i didn't imagine that trying to join a grotto would be so hard. I have sent emails and made phone calls with no response. If any one can help me get in touch with the pigeon mountain grotto i would really be gratefull.

If you feel like driving to Alabama to go caving, you can be part of my grotto there, Jackson County/Scottsboro Grotto. I guess you are not vertical yet. If you want to learn, we do have training trips at Bucks Pocket State Park. Contact Milton Polsky at mlpol@scottsboro.org, if you are interested in joining. I believe you said you was a NSS member. If you are then you can be a full member.

We don't have grotto meetings in a since like other grotto's. Our grotto meetings are actually caving trips.

Hi Brandon,

I replied to your email to the Pigeon Mountain grotto so hopefully you should have some info on the next meeting which happens to be this Friday, August 1.
Let me know if you need any more help there.
