What a great place to live if you're into caving!

Welcome to the forum, Jeff.

If you're into cave photography there are number of cave photography groups on Flickr... just search caves. You can visit the one I started by cicking on the "Flickr Photos" link in the blue buttons at the top of any page on this forum.

the irony is that i've lived here for 2 years and didn't discover how much i enjoyed caving until recently... and now i won't be here for much longer! so i definitely need to experience the Ozarks while i still can.

checked out the flickr site, some of those places are amazing. sounds like i just need to hook up with the right people.

And when you move to CT there is a caving grotto in Southington, CT, you can contact them at http://www.caves.org/grotto/ccg/ the seem pretty active from their website, so you won't have to abandon your caving craving when you move

haha, i already checked after Wayne's greeting; my first thought was "what if i get addicted to this, and then move away and can't do it anymore?"

it sounds like the Catskills have their share of dramatic caves, and that area is only about 3 hours northwest of central CT. which isn't much further than how far most of AR's caves are from LR!

thanks for all the help, guys. my enthusiasm level is pretty out of control right now and i can't wait to meet up with some other people. i feel like i should crawl around under my house for a while or something.

It's not too late to register to attend the convention in southern Indiana. It's just 24 days away! A week of cavers, caving, entertainment and educaiton... Membership in the NSS is included in the price. A campground with showers is provided..

For more info, click on "Convention Info" in the blue navigation area at the top of any page.

And in earlyOctober is the TAG fall cave-in in N. GA (near the borders of Tenn and Alabama), you have to be an NSS member to attend or be a guest of a member. 1200 cavers, caving all day, party all night
