Ex-caver in Mexico-my last caving trip

That was me, a couple of years ago, on the right, red hard hat. That's Roy Gold, on the left, yellow hard hat. Taken in Ennis Cave, AR, by Eric Hertzler.

Here I am "posing" with my boys, inside Lone Star Preserve Salt Peter Cave. Here, we're in the "Signature Room", with me pointing to a Civil War soldier's signature from 1862.

Here I am practicing rope technique. Notice I said "practicing" . . hehehe . ..

That's me, on the left. Yes, I do have a little bit of life outside of caving (though, not much :big grin:).

I know it's not good to go without a helmet. I'm getting one soon. We are total amatures.

This picture was setup don't think I am a bad caver we do wear helmets.
I had already put my gear away except for a couple lights because it was dark and decided we needed pics coming out of the entrance.

If your around Corydon, In. you probably have seen me I'm always around.

Well, Dan, introduce yourself to the Willam. Valley Grotto

Postby Ernie Coffman » Nov 21, 2007 10:13 pm

Hi there Dan, again! If you're moving to Salem, Oregon, then that will be a hop, skip, and a jump to the Williamette Valley Grotto that meets on the eastside of Portland. They do a lot of lava tubing on the Washington side of the Columbia, so...introduce yourself to them. Go to the NSS website and find them and their link.
