New to forum but old to caving

Postby grottokid » Sep 5, 2006 11:12 am

Hello cavers,

I am a neophyte to this forum but not to caving. I go by GrottoKid ever since some guys at my high school teased me about caving and joining the Windy City Grotto. I've caved in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Arkansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, and Idaho. BTW, I was trying to find the location of Old Man's Cave in eastern Nevada a number of years ago. But the over the phone directions were so inadequate I had to give up. Does anybody out there know where it is? Thanks.

sorry Grottokid... the best way is to get to know the folks in your local grotto. Disclosing cave locations is against the rules here. I'm sure someone in your neck of the woods will let you know the grotto clubs in your area... I'm not from there so I dont know.

so Mike, was that bot-like? :-)

The "sorry Grottokid" part seemed to lend a human-like feel to the response. Nice.

I'm so prone to being a tyrant. I guess the despot-management classes are working :waving:
