Total Newbie Here

Hey, I am a total newbie to caving. I still don't have all of my equipment yet. Which is part of the reason I am here.

Experience Includes:
Lava Beds National Monument - Went in 16 caves. Great time.
A Mine in the San Gabriel Mountains.

Member of Southern California Grotto based out of Los Angeles.

Would love to make friends. The friends I took to Lava Beds were in it for the one time experience.

Planning on going to Lava Beds again depending on how COVID-19 plays out.

Part of your problem is that if you have caving clothing and equipment used outside of Lava Beds, that you are not allowed to use it inside Lava Beds. In other words, you might need to maintain one set of everything for Lava Beds, and another set of everything for outside, like for Southern California. To me, that is a show-stopper.

One other thing EdwintheDeadwin -- you're a lava tube caver. Next year's NSS Convention will be up in Weed, CA (near Mt. Shasta). Meet 1000 of your best caving buddies there. Don't forget to apply your new membership discount status to your Convention registration fee (either this year in WV or next year in Weed). See you there! :bat sticker:
