Caves near Asheville

Postby ynotrepsac » Dec 10, 2011 2:01 pm

Hey all! Here is the situation. I am looking for caves near Asheville, Not those that go back for miles or even 100 feet. Maybe 25 feet back and about 6 or 8 feet wide. I have a desperate need to locate something of this nature. If you would like to know why contact me. I have Provisional reasons and am looking to establish a safe haven for y type solar flares and events to unfold in the very near future. Thank You for any aid you can give. Tony

There are lots of old mines that would fit your needs that are much closer to Asheville than any caves are. The closest caves are in the Bat Cave area. Of course you could always dig your own. I know several cavers that have done just that.
