Hello fellow cavers. My name is Rob Mackiewicz and I am planning a vertical caving trip aug 21 thru sep 1st. The caves are located 26 miles from the car so backpacking in is the only way. The cave is cold and at times muddy with a constant pitch of 30 to 40 degrees. This cave has huge rooms and is cold. it is the 2nd deepest cave in the continental US. 1500 feet deep and over 5000 feet of passages. There are at least two pit drops none exeeding 70 feet. If this sounds like a trip that you would enjoy please let me know. I know quite a bit about these cave thru tedious research. If you have any questions please email me at
