Hey Jon,

I'm from the Phoenix area...yeah we lost a good chunk of NF in the state to all these crazy fires, it's really sad :sad:. Hopefully now the monsoons will chill things out. At least caves don't burn :grin:

Actually, caves don't burn but the wood that supports the rocks that hide the entrances does.....my worry is little known caves being found and entered by flashlight cavers, that or erosion filling in entrances. At Mesa Verde they found hundreds of arch sites after the big fire. Maybe some of the long lost caves :shhh: will be refound, and or maybe some of the myths will be debunked :sad: . Yep as soon as the forest is open the hills will be crawling with pot hunters, lost gold seekers and ridge walkers.
