Winkarst doesn't like 2010?

I just used Winkarst and it is declinations properly.
I'm having problems with Winkarst. I think it is due to year now being 2010. I used to be able to load magnetic declination dates for 1974, now it does not allow it, but gives error "Date out of range, try again". Some of the survey files are untouched and worked in December.

Anyone else seen this issue?
thanks,
Tom

There is starting to be a flurry of reports of date problems with several older software packages.

I seem to recall mention of this in some technical journals back during the Y2K crisis. Perhaps WinKarst is in this league?

I got a reply from Garry and he was already in the process of updating WinKarst. It seems there are no date tables for calculating magnetic declination for the years 2010-2015. A new Winkarst version 12.5 is posted on his website.

Compass also has the same problem... Who can get a hold of the Compass creator?

This was reported to Larry Fish (Compass author) a few days ago on the Compass email list. A new version is now available.
