Cool indeed... practicality is something I wonder about.
If the robot has the same height-width dimensions as a human being (caver) then it can go where cavers can go with less effort. That big rotating senor cylinder on top makes me wonder how far in can it go before knocking off soda straws, and also hitting a low roof projection or the tracks going over a large cobble raising the elevation of the senor and causing it to hit the roof of the crawl and thereby possibly damaging the device.
Also how much does it weigh and will it be practical to carry it hiking up to the cave's location and then through the cave (on rope?) to where one wants to map/explore... is it waterproof and shock proof... questions, questions...

Lucky you... . you've got lots of questions but it seems you are not worried about the price of the robot. :bananabat:

Heh... that IS one of the other questions amigo... still would rather know if it's all practical for OUR (caving) applications before finding out how much it might cost.
