In about a months time I'll have the entire TAG area's worth of information. Most of this stuff is much better than USGS data. Once I have it all here, I'll post again for interested parties. I'll give you space requirements and then if you don't live close enough you'd have to send an external drive to get the data.

Did you get all the data yet? How can one contact you for obtaining the data?

You can get high quality DEM/DRG/orthophoto data for Tennessee at

http://www.tngis.org/data.html

They have 1 meter resolution orthoquads, scanned quads(DRGs), and 10 meter resolution DEMs.

I found Alabama topo DRGs at

http://www.gsa.state.al.us/gsa/gis_data.html

You can get all the Georgia data you need for free at

http://gis.state.ga.us/

You have to register, but all the data I looked for was free.

You can find anything you need at the GIS Data Depot-

http://data.geocomm.com/catalog/

But you'll have to pay for some items.

If funding is maintained, the AmericaView program-

http://www.americaview.org/

Will eventually give us all free access to updated remote sensing data. If your state has a functioning AmericaView website, you should download all the data you might need, as there is no guarantee that the websites will be up forever. I have the whole state of Wisconsin at 1 meter resolution, fer example.
