Bonjour. Alain F ( F I G U I E R) asked me to order one x-board for him.

Otherwise, I'd like to know the importance of posting here the name or number of new persons who wants an x-board, since we don't need anymore to verify if we are 50, and we're "just setting back and waiting for the go ahead" before we mail order to Beat. Do we continue to post orders here, or later in the order mail for Beat (I don't know his mail adress)? Merci

Beat Heeb is the maker of the Disto X and he is only making boards for the Disto DXT. He is not making boards for neither the A3 or the D3. If you want one for the DXT just let us know.

So after I started reading this thread (it's LONGGGGGGGGGGGG), it was hard to read the whole thing. Do we send him a Disto, or does he start afresh? There was a price wildly guestimated early on. What's the story with it now?

The price for a DXT is now $219.00 at the cheapest. Perhaps www.laserstreet.com may offer it cheaper if you tell them that you found it for that price. http://www.distagage.com/distod210xt.html You will have to stick with the thread to make sure this is the Disto that Beat uses. Apparently he's found out that there are many versions of the DXT and some of them are maybe not the same in there internal structure and therefore require more board making.... The Disto X board is still unknown in it's price because Beat doesnt even know. $150.00 is my best guess.... I think the last Disto X that was made required you to install the board but I'm sure Beat wouldnt mind doing it if you asked nicely and gave him an extra tip in the end.... :tonguecheek:

You do not have to post on here any longer you may just set back and wait for the go ahead and order. I will post the email address on here when the time comes.

Nope, not yet. I try to get an update once a month or so. Thanks for checking in. I sent him an email. Hopefully, he will reply soon. He has summoned me to open the Disto D210XT to hopefully reveal the same circuitry as the DXT. I have purchased the screw driver I need. I just need to get my Disto 210XT and screwdriver in one place. I'm in the process of moving out so, hopefully sometime this weekend I will have the picture sent to Beat and a reply should be sent to me. I will let you all know the outcome.

Since this thread is getting very long, there are newer people coming into this, and because I have gotten multiple requests to replace this thread due to the length and because it is no longer for the A3, I have created a new thread called "DistoX boards for the DistoDXT models" . Please continue any posts onto that thread. Thanks!

Yea, I just got some more information from Beat the other day but I wasnt going to give it to you guys because it's not anymore than we knew before. Unfortunately, the Magnetometer and Battery are feuding. He has rearranged the board so the battery and the magnetometer are separated further but still there was barely any change when he took it in a cave. He said it would calibrate great but after about an hour he had to recalibrate it again. It would have a 10 degree error. He says that he is still searching for a solution to the problem. No idea what he could do but if any of you have any ideas just let me know.
