COBRA Grotto - New

Postby Keith Wheeland » Aug 3, 2009 1:24 pm

I am pleased to announce that effective July 3, 2009 I have approved a new NSS Chapter named COBRA Grotto located in Batesville, Arkansas. The president is David J. Thomas. You can get additional information by going to the NSS website and clicking on "Find a Local Caving Club". Due to the busyness of my schedule, I could not process the paperwork until today. Please welcome the new grotto.

Does COBRA stand for something?

Yes, it stands for Cavers Of the Batesville Region of Arkansas. Obviously that name was too cumbersome, so they shortened it. The name won't be lost because it is shown on the formal application and in the history of the organization which is also a part of the formal application.
