Double messages in RSS client

I've been using Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 to read cavechat via RSS. It's very handy, but for some reason I receive duplicates of every message. Is anyone else having this problem with a different RSS reader? If not, I'll assume it's something to do with Thunderbird.
