My board index says this forum is protected. Why would an introduction forum be protected? Is this a fluke on my end or what?

I'm not seeing it on my machine. Where are you seeing this?

It was at the top right column where the subject normally is, followed by the name of the person posting underneath.
I clicked on the subject (which said This forum is protected) and nothing happend. However, when I clicked open
the main subject all the posts by previous posters were there and they opened. Maybe it was just a fluke. I couldn't
think of any reason for the Introductions header to be protected.

This is the name of the poster. by caveevac View the latest post

[I have copied this topic from Caver Introductions to the IT Forum.]

The notation "this forum is protected" usually indicates that a particular forum is password protected. We have a few private sub-forums like this for NSS internal organizations. They are not usually visible to other forum members.

I'm not sure why it would show up in Caver Introductions. Could have been a temporary glitch in the system.

Jansen, it must have been some kind of glitch. The subject line is usually in bold letters but this time it wasn't. This forum is protected.
Rather than a normal introduction in bold letters. It's no biggie. I only mentioned it because I thought it was so weird.
