New Webhosting Options

Effectively immediately, the IT Committee has updated and improved the hosting options available to NSS IOs and members.

The new webhosting page is here: http://caves.org/webservices/index.shtml

Here are the highlights:
-- Basic hosting remains at $12/year, but now includes 10 GB of space, rather than 100 MB.
-- For gluttons with a lot of photos and videos, there is now Expanded web hosting -- 50 GB of space for $55/year.
-- All accounts may include a MySQL database, if needed, at no additional cost.
-- All hosted sites will be subdomains at no additional cost.
-- An @caves.org email redirect/alias/mailbox (2.5 GB) is included in basic hosting, and additional addresses are only $1/year each.
-- Email may be set up as POP3 or IMAP.
-- If you already have your own domain, we can host it for only $15/year.
-- We now offer mail-lists by Mailman for only $10/year each.
-- And banner ads remain available at $60/year for members and non-profits, or $80/year for commercial enterprises.

The responses to these changes have been very positive! Based on comments and suggestions received, we have further changed the email options. One email redirect/mailbox address will be included with all hosting packages (as has been policy in the past), and additional addresses will be available for $1/year each.
